The Golden State

There are parks everywhere in Los Angeles, pretty little green gems hidden throughout the city. We stumble across them everywhere, tucked into the most unexpected neighborhoods, and it's always fun to explore a new one.
Now we have excursion parks (an endless maze of equipment at Shane's Inspiration in Griffith Park), everyday parks (Eagle Rock Park, perfect for tossing a ball around), hiking parks (the trails at Eaton Canyon) and our new favorite, Garfield Park in South Pasadena.
It's sort of...just right. Green, not too big, full of palm trees, and even has a little shaded area with rocks for climbing that we call the secret forest.
I took the kids there the other night while Josh got some work done, and the light was gorgeous.
