Goblins

So this morning, while lounging on the couch in his pajamas and apropos of nothing, Cole turned to me and said:

"Mom, if goblins put me in the trash can, there would be spiders in there."

Um.

"Why would goblins put you in the trash, honey?"

"Because they don't really like me. They don't think I'm cute," he said, scowling slightly because he had to explain the obvious. "They don't really like girls and boys."

And that was it. Discussion opened and closed.

I love this age so much.
