Don't Hate the Playa

We've been counting down to this vacation for months. Our family plus two of our best friends in the world, Jen and Sean -- and their one-year-old, Henry. You'd think 8 people (including 2 infants and one very, very whiny toddler) packed into a condo would be a recipe for disaster.

You'd be wrong.

We had an amazing time.

Riis got princess water wings and spent most of her vacation splashing in the hotel pool.

Indiana was pretty much like she always is: happy and agreeable.

Night stroll on Playa's main drag, 5th avenue.

We've now got the boys outnumbered.

Cole actually fell asleep in this chair at the Tequila Barrel after a day of swimming.

Henry!

The view from our condo the morning after we all survived a late-night dash home through a monsoon -- babies and all. Sorry kids!

Yep, still happy.

Building sea creatures in the sand.

Cole wore those googles for hours - out of the water. He had the outline etched in his face for a looooooong time after he finally took them off.

We look happy, but we're still suffering from PTSD here after a ferry ride to Cozumel so rough that at least 20 people threw up in the boat -- including Indy and Riis. Into my lap.

She did get a cute dress out of the deal.

Sean and the boys.

Jen and the girls.

He told Josh he had rocks and sand in his pants. And he did.

Indy in definite need of a nap.

See what I mean about those goggles?

A last walk to a little bar down the beach. Kids drank fresh pineapple juice while we toasted vacation.

These are awesome! That last one KILLS me. Cole was bummed about leaving his (weird) new friend. I remember taking it and giggling after at how funny you and Josh were about Cole's expression. "The moment was what it was," I think Josh said. SUCH a fun trip!! Must do again.
