We went to go see Santa yesterday. It was a weird day for it--rainy and cold, but fitting somehow. The heater in Josh's car is broken, so all three of them met me at the Grove chilled to the bone--Cole was shivering in his little yellow dinosaur raincoat and Josh was stomping around and blowing on his hands to keep them warm. Riis, inexplicably, was totally unconcerned with the freezing raindrops on her head--just pleased as punch to oooh and aaah at the twinkling lights around the mall. It was as happy as we've seen her in days.
We stood in line with other soggy families, Cole shivering but excited, and finally got in to see the Man. He scrambled right onto Santa's lap without being prompted, and put in a request for a light saber.
Riis..well, I'll post the photo later. You can see for yourself how she felt about Santa.
