Holiday Road

Here come the Griswalds.

We're actually doing this, I realized yesterday. The hotels are booked (thanks, Brianna!), the winter coats have been pulled from the closets, and car-friendly snacks have been procured.

Looks like a long way, huh?
Yeah.
It does.
It is.

But we're going to take it one mile marker at a time. The kids will learn about the dangers of gambling under the bright lights of Vegas, and about the greater dangers of Mormonism as we usher them through Salt Lake City. (Ok, we're not really going to hit Salt Lake City, but we'll bitch about Mormons anyway, just for fun.) We'll enjoy the snow-capped peaks of Denver—and the pancakes of IHOP. Turbo will spend every day groaning and moaning from the backseat to ensure we know how unhappy he is to be in the car. There will be endless loops of "Yo Gabba Gabba," hours of whining, and probably 3-4 bouts of yelling from the front seat per day.

We can't wait.
