Sisters

Cole is very, very into the baby. He rushes to see her whenever she comes into a room, gently caressing her fuzzy little head. He loves to sing her songs, and often tells me what she wants - or what she just 'said.' He firmly believes she can talk, and has said, "Cole," "Mama," and "Hi."

Riis is a little less interested, but she's coming around now that Indy's started to make noises, laugh, and (sort of) play. Riis likes to put things in her arms (or over her face, sigh) for Indy to play with -- books and rings and dolls. I have to watch closely though, because Riis has no idea that her "dancing" game with the baby is likely to wrench her tiny elbow.

The other day I put Indy in her Bumbo, and Riis was delighted with this new development. The baby is sitting! She laughed and laughed and then sat down to say hi.
