Walk This Way

Leave it to Riis. Although she's toyed with some steps, and been cruising around clutching chairs, tables, and pant legs, she hasn't really mastered walking. And we've been in no hurry. Cole didn't walk until he was 14 months, and we were happy to let her lurch around, unable to really get anywhere without a brace.

Anyway, tonight I got off of work early and the whole family went to the Oinkster for dinner.
Yes, the Oinkster.

It was chilly (I know! In California! But it does get cold here--sort of--at night) so I put her in an old t-shirt of Josh's. Riis loves to trek around the patio, checking in with other diners and clutching the red chairs as she cruises. So we ate and kept an eye on her.

But she got impatient, because I wouldn't let her bang on the glass doors that lead into the restaurant.

So about 30 seconds after I took this, we looked over and saw her toddling toward the exit.

Bull-headed, and her first steps at the Oinkster.
