Finally, there WAS a Jen (Aulwes) there when he woke up, and he flew into her arms to give her a hug, then dragged out all of his library books to take her on a tour of bad guys and dinosaurs. Both kids were completely won over by them both, and it was bliss to get some breaks. Diapers were changed, babies were watched--I forgot how nice it is to have help. Amazing what gets done. Our floor were actually CLEAN.
We stuffed a lot into the weekend. Lunch in Malibu. The Santa Monica farmer's market. A beach day. The Huntington. Korean barbecue. Drinks on the front porch. Old Town Pasadena. Walks to CaliMex. Even a real Golden Gopher for the low, low price of $40. (Cole: "Mom, what's that yellow bear doing here?")
The only one who didn't enjoy every minute was Turbo, and that's only because we were so distracted that we left him outside one night. Sorry Turbo!
