This city has so many fantastical options that I'm beginning to worry the kids think there's a hidden treasure or amusement park hiding around every corner.
Thursday we went to the LA Bontanical Gardens. WHERE THERE WERE LIKE 50 PEACOCKS JUST RUNNING AROUND. The kids' eyes just about popped out of their heads when they spotted the first one, and then it became a game of following their (kind of unnerving) calls through the grounds. Up in trees, hidden in shadows, strutting out in full view--they were everywhere. By 30 minutes in, they were already jaded.
